Selectorized vs plate-loaded machines

Selectorized machines are fast and beginner-safe with a pin stack. Plate-loaded machines offer wider loading and a freer feel with existing plates. Choose by member level and space — often both.

When to prefer selectorized?

When many beginners or hotel/residential members must set loads quickly and safely. A guided path and pin stack reduce form risk without a coach.

The Fitland selectorized range covers multi-stations and single isolation units.

Downside: strong lifters may outgrow the stack.

When to prefer plate-loaded?

When intermediate and advanced members already use plates. You gain load range, but need storage and clearance for loading.

Works well for hip thrust, belt squat, presses and rows that scale with the lifter.

Plan plate storage — footprint alone is not enough.

How to combine both?

Typical layout: stacks for intro and isolation, plate-loaded for strength/hypertrophy, racks for free weights. Nobody is forced onto one machine type.

Open the selectorized and plate-loaded categories and request a package sized to your floor plan.
